What happens when the 7-day trial ends?
Your card is charged for the plan you picked and Pro continues uninterrupted. Cancel any time before day 7 from the billing portal in your profile and you are charged nothing at all — there is no partial-month fee and no cancellation fee.
What exactly is an "insight action"?
One insight action is one AI analysis you ask for — scoring a portfolio, generating buy/sell/hold ratings for all its holdings, or pulling a set of sector picks. Analysing a whole portfolio counts as one action no matter how many stocks are in it. Chat messages draw on a separate daily allowance, so a long conversation never eats into your analysis.
Is the free plan actually usable, or just a demo?
It is a real plan. You get one portfolio, three goals, 10 AI chats and 30 insight actions every day, plus the full market data, news, filings and community. Most people exploring a single portfolio never hit those limits. Pro exists for people running several portfolios or leaning on the AI daily.
What do I actually get for upgrading?
Unlimited portfolios and goals, 10× the daily allowances (100 chats and 300 insight actions), and our most capable analysis engine rather than the economy one — which in practice means longer, more specific reasoning about your holdings instead of short generic summaries.
Do I need to enter a card to try Pro?
Yes, the card is collected when the trial starts, which is how the subscription continues seamlessly if you keep it. You are not charged during the trial, and cancelling takes two clicks in the billing portal.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes, from the billing portal. Yearly works out about 20% cheaper than paying monthly. Switching is prorated automatically, so you are never billed twice for the same period.
Is this financial advice?
No. QuantAdvisor is a research tool. It scores portfolios, rates holdings and explains market events in plain language so you can make better-informed decisions — but it does not know your full financial situation, and nothing it outputs is a personalised recommendation. Always do your own due diligence.
How do I cancel?
Profile → Manage billing → Cancel. It is self-service, takes under a minute, and you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for. No email, no retention call.
